रक्त का सैंपल लेने के लिए ऊंची बांधने की टूर्निकेट (इलास्टिक) पट्टी ऊपरी बांह पर टाइट रूप से रखी जाती है। मरीज से फिस्ट बनाने के लिए कहा जाता है। यह रक्त से भरे वेन्स में रक्त भरने में मदद करता है और रक्त लेना आसान हो जाता है। नीडल वेन में दरार डालने से पहले त्वचा साफ की जाती है ताकि जीवाणु दाखिल होने से रोका जा सके। फिर आगरा में नीडल डाला जाता है और रक्त का सैंपल वैक्यूटैनर में एकत्रित किया जाता है।
