Why is it called vitamin B12 and not C12?
It cannot be called C12 even if the central molecule is cobalmin. It is called B12 only.

The sole purpose of this test is to determine deficiency of B12 in the body.
One can improve B12 by consuming all dairy products (milk, curd, cheese) are a good source of Vitamin B12. In addition, one can include red meat once a week to boost vitamin B 12 intake
A vitamin B 12 blood test measures vitamin B12 deficiency in people. Not only this, it also helps in the diagnosis of a genetic disorder known as methylmalonic acedemia.
This is not yet known but vitamin B12 does contain cobalt so it can have slight paramagnetic properties.
There are three forms which are important those are methylcobalamin (MeCbl), adenosylcobalamin (AdCbl), and hydroxycobalamin (OHCbl). They can help boost immune system, digestive system and overall health.
