Lupus anticoagulant blood test is done to evaluate blood clottinng due to lupus autoantibody associated with blood clotting
Your doctor may advise that you have a specialised blood test called a D-dimer test. This test detects pieces of blood clots and deep vein thrombosis.
This means blood clotting is higher in these patients, if they are women then they are susceptible to miscarriages.
Blood tests take around 1-2 hours in an emergency room.
For healthy individuals it is recommended that you get a blood test done at least once a year during your annual checkup
