Low hemoglobin is a symptom of anemia caused specially due to underlying medical conditions and a poor diet.
Humid air is dense, due to the high water content. This density can increase airway resistance in the body. Due to this one might find breathing difficult especially in humid climate.
Anemia does have prominent symptoms such as fatigue and pale skin which indicates low hemoglobin count. However, it is recommended to get a CBC test done to diagnose anemia.
There is no evidence that soy increases hemoglobin count in the body.
It is not harmful, however, 5.5 hemoglobin is very low and can lead to dizziness and unexplained fatigue.The doctor may prescribe medications and an iron rich diet to resolve anemia.
