Any excess glucose goes to your liver for storage. When you go a few hours without eating, blood sugar levels go down.
The blood sugar levels are slightly elevated if it crossed 140mg/dl that means that your are falling under the category diabetes.
To capture the peak level of your blood glucose, it is best to test one to two hours after you start eating
One can maintain a blood sugar level post meal by eating right amount of carbohydrates and incorporating walking post meals.
In general fasting sugar less than 103 is normal and post prandial 125 is also normal.
