Seniors should have random glucose blood levels less than 200mg/dl .Ideally 180mg/dl.
One should exercise regularly or brisk walk for 45mins per day along with diet restrictions in which refined sugars should not be consumed. The doctor might also prescribe you medications to lower blood glucose levels.
An ideal blood sugar level for a healthy person, regardless of age, in the morning should be less than 100 mg/dL.
Fasting blood sugar (in the morning, before eating): Less than 100 mg/dL. 1-2 hours after a meal: Less than 140 mg/dL. 2-3 hours after eating: Less than 100 mg/dL. So, even if it is 110-120 then it is more and one should lower blood glucose levels.
